The Untold Truth About Instagram Pods

If you’ve been a passionate member of the Instagram community, you might have heard about Instagram pods. Let’s go into details about pods. An Instagram pod is made up of USERS, who agree to like and comment on each other’s posts. This is done in a bid to increase engagement as the Instagram algorithm appears to favor posts that generate instant comments.

If you have been observant, you would realize certain Instagram pages, only tend to attract engagement from the same set of people all the time. Not to worry, that’s just engagement from the page’s pod memebers.

The most exciting thing about Instagram pods, is that you no longer have to bother about your posts going without a care! Your pod members are “kinda” mandated to drop comments at certain times when you make a post. This can really be exciting at the beginning for most users who have had zero to no form of engagement!

However, with all these goodies, there comes a dark side of Instagram pods. One sure thing, is that the excitement tends to die down, as only pod members will actually take out time to drop comments under your post(s). It also tends to make engagement look very forced and mechanical – seeing the same users dropping similar comments under your posts all the time, can get boring! One final and probably the most dangerous part, is that it can kill your content game.- Why do I say so??? It kinda makes you think lazy, you no more put in much thought in creating content, why should you??? Your pod members are mandated to drop comments on your posts after-all…

Instagram pods can be a great way to jump start engagement, but it seemingly might not be a sustainable approach to getting genuine comments that can influence your social media strategy.
